After not having a centralized place to sell our wares online for the last 3 years, we’ve finally broken down and set up a webstore:

In addition to the shirts you’ve already come to know and love, we have added a new shirt designed by our friend Justin Miller ( And furthermore, all of the remaining stock on our old shirts are on sale for super cheap. We only have a few of each of the old designs left, so grab em quickly.

Awesome shows coming up:
01/03/11 @ The Bordello (email for address) w/ Weekend Nachos, Backslider, Callous
01/29/11 @ The Boneyard (Atlantic City NJ) w/ Planning For Burial, Sadgiqacea, Bubonic Bear

And some more that we’ll be confirming/announcing shortly.

We are proud to announce that we are once again a 5-piece. Our very good friend Nick will now be handling bass duties. Additionally, Chris has moved from bass to guitar, for a full on 2-guitar-assault. Also, we just confirmed a ton of new shows for the remainder of the year and all of them will feature the new lineup.

Before we made the change, we went into record a few demos, and have posted a few of the tracks on our BandCamp page for streaming. In addition you can also download the track “Danny Husk” from the super-awesome dudes over at Brooklyn Vegan (and check out some pictures of the show they had us up to NYC for here).

More news soon. As always check here + our Facebook page for the latest info.

Two quick things of note. First, we are heading back to Brooklyn to play an amazing show at the Acheron with The Body + Bad Dream. Both bands are great and the show is being presented by Brooklyn Vegan. Should be awesome.

Thursday, September 16th 7pm ALL AGES
@The Acheron –

Also, one more ‘No Funeral’ review while I’m at it, this time from

“…they could level the City of Brotherly Love.” –

For the mailorder or west coast inclined: The almighty Aquarius Records is now carrying our ‘No Funeral’ 7inch. They also had some pretty nice things to say about it:

“Churning and chugging and pounding, we’ve actually gotten a little obsessed with these three jams, listening to this 7″ over and over, and it definitely has us dying for a full length.”

Thanks guys. You can grab it at the link above, or by stopping in if you happen to live in the San Francisco area. If not, you can still buy it at the Young Lungs Store.

And another excellent and well-written review from Play It Loud Zine:

I found their live performance slightly more impressive, but this captures everything pretty nicely, especially for a cassette.

Also, we’re playing with the legendary TODAY IS THE DAY next month at the North Star Bar, and our good friend Mike designed an awesome poster for the tour (see below).

Show info is as follows:
Thursday September 2nd @ The North Star Bar
8PM, 21+, $12

No Funeral is way more “punch you in the face” than it is “let’s grab a beer and be friends.” – The Obelisk/

This band is going to kick some serious ass in the next year I think, and you’re going to want to be on the receiving end of that ass kick. 10 out of 10. – Funeral Rain Industries

Thats it for now. Recording new demos. Next show: July 14 @ The Barbary. Amazing lineup w/ Mammoth Grinder, Lewd Acts, Magrudergrind, Coke Bust.

A few quick things worth mentioning. First- Deathbeds is featured in the ‘Unsigned Bands’ section of the current issue of Hails & Horns Magazine. You can read the entire issue (Issue #18, Dillinger Escape Plan on the cover), over at Go check it out, our good friend Kim wrote it and its damn fine. Screen cap below

Also, a few weeks back we were the featured ‘New Band to Burn One To’ on the Heavy Planet Blog. You can check that out here.

Thats about it. We have a new shirt design in our webstore. Sizes S-XL available and only 25 were made. A few shows coming up this month and hopefully recording some of our new songs (more info on that later).

Alright…a few collecting (and overdue updates).

1)’No Funeral’ is now available in digital format via Itunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody, and EMusic. If you’re not into records go grab the files from them. Maybe spend a giftcard or something. Also, if you’re not into buying it from there, you can get it through the much more awesome Communitas Media, which is locally and independantly run. Through Communitas, you can pay WHATEVER YOU WANT for the hi res downloads. We like this site very much, and urge you to download the songs from there if you’re looking to pay for digital downloads. You don’t have to sign up. No one is taking your payment information…all of that is redirected to paypal.

2)A few reviews for the record have been posted, more to follow:
Doomantia: “If this is anything to go by, it will crush posers everywhere.”
Shoot Me Again Webzine (In French):For the moment, the 7″ is going to wear out on the turntable because i’ll play it for a long while…

Extra special thanks to everyone who came out last Friday to Kung Fu Necktie for the prolonged release of our new 7″ “No Funeral” available on YOUNG LUNGS LTD. Besides spending most of the night being completely mind fucked by the amount of cabinets JUCIFER uses, we managed to sell a decent amount of the records we had “limited edition” date stamped for that night. A review of the show has been posted by the wonderful people over at NOISECREEP and is definitely worth a read so check it out, here. Again, thanks to everyone for the support.
